چکیده

Abstract NIST SRM 1155a is an AISI 316L stainless steel (Cr18–Ni12–Mo2) and Standard Reference Material (SRM) intended for use with test methods elemental analysis. In a previous paper “Measurement of thermophysical properties solid liquid steel”, we already published reliable high temperature the phase this material such as dependent enthalpy, density electrical resistivity, well specific heat capacity phase. paper, add additional obtained by ohmic pulse-heating laser flash method, namely thermal conductivity diffusivity function temperature. Furthermore report surface tension measurement results means electromagnetic levitation. Simulation processes like additive manufacturing, welding, cutting or metal casting depend on above named quantities input data. Ohmic levitation are so called “containerless” investigation techniques no significant chemical reactions hot alloy its surrounding occur. The data presented here compared to available literature accompanied uncertainty analysis according “Guide Expression Uncertainty in Measurement”.

Biomaterial Studies on AISI 316L Stainless Steel after Magnetoelectropolishing

The polarisation characteristics of the electropolishing process in a magnetic field (MEP – magnetoelectropolishing), in comparison with those obtained under standard/conventional process (EP) conditions, have been obtained. The occurrence of an EP plateau has been observed in view of the optimization of MEP process. Up-to-date stainless steel surface studies always indicated some amount of fre...

Micro abrasion-corrosion of AISI 316L stainless steel

In this study, the synergistic effects of abrasion and corrosion on AISI 316L stainless steel have been investigated using a micro-abrasion test rig. A series of results from abrasioncorrosion tests conducted using the micro-abrasion rig are presented. AISI 316L stainless steel has been studied under both pure abrasion and abrasion-corrosion conditions simulated by either distilled water or 3.5...

Formation of Surface Nano/Ultrafine Structure using Deep Rolling Process on the AISI 316L Stainless Steel

Austenitic stainless steels (ASSs) have an excellent corrosion resistance but relatively-low hardness and yield strength [1,2], leading to limited usage in applications that high values of hardness and wear resistance is necessary for material surface. Therefore, surface properties such as hardness must be improved using appropriate techniques. Mechanical surface treatments such as ultrasonic s...

Haemocompatibility of Surface Modified AISI 316L Austenitic Stainless Steel Tested in Artificial Plasma

The study comprises evaluation of suitability of passive layer created on the surface of AISI 316L stainless steel for products that are intended to have contact with blood. For that purpose, prior to and after chemical passivation, samples were subject to 7 day exposure in artificial plasma at the temperature of T=37°C. Next, tests of metallic ions infiltration from the surface to the solution...

Control of the wetting properties of an AISI 316L stainless steel surface by femtosecond laser-induced surface modification

A simple and effective method without vacuum to control the wetting properties of AISI 316L stainless steel using femtosecond laser pulses at high repetition rate has been developed. Both hydrophilic and hydrophobic surfaces were formed by creating micro-conical structures on the surface with femtosecond laser irradiation in air. The scan speed was found to be an effective parameter in controll...
